Disney Trip
On our trip I took two cameras. The Canon S95 and 50D with a 50mm 1.8 prime lens. The following are a few pictures I took. Don’t worry I’ll spare you the entire trip. … Read entire article »

Canon S95 Macro
Pictures taken with the Canon S95 and edited in Aperture 3. Most of the settings were the automatically generated by the camera in program mode with the exception of one. The (TV) Time Value picture. The Shutter was set to 1/1600 but, all other settings were auto. Although I did work some magic in Aperture 3 with each picture, I must say this is one nice point and shoot camera. By the way, the pictures here are high resolution and work well as desktop backgrounds. … Read entire article »

Antique Cash Register
Just got back from our family reunion just out side of Seguin Tx. The place we stayed at had a real, actually working, Antique Cash Register in the kitchen. Complete with play money and change. Defiantly one of the coolest things I’ve seen in some time and thought I’d share. Her are some of the pictures. I also made a few Desktop Wallpapers of said register as well as a hand full of new Desktops. Check them out here. … Read entire article »

Vacation to Davis Mountains
The family and I just got back from our vacation to the Davis Mountains. The Davis Mountains State Park is located in West Texas about an hour and a half southwest of Fort Stockton and just north of Big Bend country. It’s literally a different world out there, isolated from just about everything and everyone. The coolest part while we were out there was the Star Party at the McDonald Observatory. It made the entire vacation. I highly recommend it if you are into Astronomy. Unfortunately, given the nature of the event, no pictures. However, I did manage to get in a few good shoots while we were there. … Read entire article »

Pace Bend Park
A friend and I took a trip out to Pace Bend Park yesterday for some night fishing. Too bad the fish weren’t biting. Although I think there’s no such thing as a bad fishing trip, some fried catfish would have been nice tonight. At any rate, I turned out a few cool pictures of the view we had. I love Texas. All HDR’s in this post used Photomatix and Aperture 3. EV was set to -2,0,2. All exposures were hand held, taken in Program mode on the Canon 40D with all settings auto. A 2 sec. self timer was used for the auto bracketing … Read entire article »

Galveston Trip Spring 2010
All Pictures in this post were taken with a Canon 40D using the Canon 10-22 EF lens. The Bishop’s Palace HDR was taken with three exposures at EV 2,0,-2 and tone mapped with Photomatix. The clouds were layered in from another picture I took. The Palace also needed some lens correction to compensate for the angle the original picture was taken at. I had to crop this image in some as it was taken from inside my … Read entire article »

Photography by Anthony Marino
The lens used in the four pictures below is the Canon EF-S 10-22mm 1:3.5-4.5 USM. The Camera used is the Canon eos 40D. The HDR Images were taken in sets of three and merged with Photomatix using EV -2,0,2 for each. The ISO’s were a little high at 400-800 causing noise. For HDR I probably should have dropped the ISO down to 200. There’s always next time. … Read entire article »

Nikon Coolpix e2100
This IS an old Picture I found taken by a good friend of mine, Michael Guerra. The camera used was a Nikon Coolpix e2100 2MP. Photomatix was used to give it the dark look after the image was manually over and under exposed in post. Heavy noise noise reduction was also needed. Given how old the image is and camera used I think it made an interesting HDR. … Read entire article »
